This project experimented with the conventions of outdoor work by building a town square to somehow make the outdoors indoors. The whole scenario was tightly choreographed and rehearsed (a very rare thing for Mischief) and the audience were herded into the performance area and then locked in, again an experiment as the audience is usually allowed the freedom to roam.

A cartoon scenario of an absurd 'day in the life' was presented by five identical performers on five identical stages with 5 costume changes within the 10 minute routine which was incessantly repeated.

The show delighted family audiences, but the exhausting rigmarole of actually building a town, performing the punishing routine, and then breaking it all down, almost killed the company. One tour of Scotland was enough to prove it could be done, just.
