Our brief from Media Scotland was to transform their ‘Scotcareers' stall at the Scottish Apprenticeship Show into the memorable and immersive environment of a Fortune Teller’s tent.
The client imagined a stall that really stood out from its neighbours, allowing us to create a dark, candlelit chamber, hung with lanterns and exotica, in which the most unforgettable of careers advisors, Madame Dora, ('Talismanic Tealeaf Translator') and Madame Krystal (‘Palmist Par Excellence’), could forecast the most fantastical of careers for those attending the show. Obviously the jobs market is always changing so in the future there are bound to be job opportunities for a Waterslide Tester, or a Celebrity Nail Biter or even a Submarine Window Washer, aren’t there?
Snippets of performance were perfect material for sharing on social media and creating a buzz around the brand. Mischief created not only the characters and their dialogue but also the tent and signs as well as many other props.
