THE MAGNIFICENT ORGAN

30 minutes of madcap, musical mayhem!

'The Magnificent Organ' is an anarchic, screwball, outdoor show suitable for all ages. As one audience member said "The most craziest funniest 30 minutes ever".

Thanks to funding from Creative Scotland, this new show from Mischief La-Bas started touring at the beginning of July 2015 and, so far, has reached Hamilton, Rothesay, Alloa, Dornoch, Wick, Thurso, Fort William, Galashiels, Elgin, Inverness, Bathgate, Grangemouth, Dalry, Kilwinning, Falkirk, Portsoy, Fraserburgh, Peterhead, Banchory and Inverurie.

'The Magnificent Organ' is inspired by the mayhem Spike Jones brought to his musical numbers, as well as Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and a nostalgia for British children's programmes of the 1970's like Trumpton and Camberwick Green. It continues to combine elements of choreography and comedy which Director, Angie Dight, has previously blended together in 'Three Feet Left' and 'The Scone of Destiny'. The original musical score that can be heard in the films is embellished with ingenious musical props and a welter of moving pipes, horns and limbs. The 'Organ' itself will bring together bespoke cabinet-making with colourful, carefully-painted detail.

Directed by Angie Dight. Music by Bruno Gallagher. Performers: Suzie Ferguson, Melanie Forbes-Broomes, Bruno Gallagher, Sita Pieraccini, Paddy Bonner & Jim Callaghan. Prototype Organ and Final Organ built by Bill Breckenridge. Additional design and making by Rachel Mimiec and Vikki Litton.
