PAINFUL CREATURES

Following on from a commissioned experiment for 'BIG IN FALKIRK' 2003, Mischief La-Bas under the direction of Ian Smith presented a startling 'walk through the woods' featuring the work of a whole host of international artists.

Audiences led by grimy 'Carnie's' through the 'Unfairground' encountered Gorgons, Saints, Checkpoints, Robot, Tree Danglers and Shipwrecked Galleons. Scenes were realised through performance, soundtracks, installations, paintings, sculpture, living tableaux, dance, puppetry and a large celebratory fire sculpture. 'Painful Creatures' was presented in Scotland, England, France and Austria.
